We will be working at the property of 3rd Reformed Church (16 Ten Eyck Ave). The work will be focused on the old parsonage, and will include cleaning, painting, repairs, remodeling.
All are welcome to come and here about the amazing ministry our team was able to engage with in Chile! Over their week at Casa Esperaza the Lord opened many opportunties for meaningful impact. This is a chance to hear directly from those on the trip, and to enjoy some Chile inspired food!

Super fun time for little kids and kids who are a little bit older. There are simple hunts for the littlest ones, a bit more challenging hunts for pre-readers, and then a clue based treasure hunt for readers to pre-teens.
Starting at St. Paul’s United Methodist Church, there will be a procession remembering the walk of Christ as he carried the cross on Good Friday. All are welcome to meet at St. Paul’s as we walk from there, to Emmanuel Reformed Church, and then to Horizon View Cemetary.

You are encouraged to come for a special Ash Wednesday observance as we remember that we are dust, but God still loves us and adopts us a precious children.
After worship we will have a special reception in recognition of Pastor Dirk serving ERC for 10 years.
Something unique in our fast paced world - at 11pm we will begin our Christmas Vigil. This is a peaceful time of song, scripture, reflection, and communion around the Lord's Table. We end this beautiful service at mid-night with candles lit and a welcome to Christmas day. The power of this service cannot be overstated as we turn our focused attention of the wonder and mystery of Christmas.
A worship time for the whole church family. The service will be full of music, the Christmas story, kids, and end with candle lighting. A great way to focus on the true meaning of Christmas and connect with others in worship and faith as we celebrate the baby born in Bethlehem.
The 9:30am service will focus on classic carols and follow the patterns of Sunday worship. The message will continue our journey from Genesis to Jesus.
There will be food, crafts for kids, and a wonderful festive spirit in the Fellowship Hall starting at 5pm.
Then, while the kids get costumed up for a telling of the Christmas story, there will be a concert of inspiring Christmas music by Jon LeRoy in the sanctuary. The celebration will continue in the pavilion (with the heaters) as the kids create a nativity scene, we enjoy hot drinks and desserts, and some more music with Jon and our voices as we sing carols together. Feel free to invite friends and neighbors.
Join in the fun of decorating the church. After worship and Sunday school everyone who wants to will be guided in making an advent wreath, and we will also be decorating the church. A great way to launch the Christmas spirit after Thanksgiving. There will also be some great chili and soup available for lunch!

On Sunday afternoon we will be leading the Castleton CROP walk. There will be a light lunch at church at noon, followed by the walk with will begin at the Sisters of the Resurrection Convent in the Village of Castleton.

After worship in the pavilion we will pull out the grill, and have a great picnic! Also, there will be extra fun and games for youth during the picnic. Bring a side or dessert to share, and plan on enjoying the start of fall together.
Sunday School classes for pre-schoolers through teens will be offered after worship starting September 17.
Each Saturday in the summer there is an informal time of singing and prayer around a campfire in the Gieser’s backyard (weather permitting). Come over at 7pm and enjoy the spiritual refreshment and fun fellowship.
Come to Horizon View Cemetery on Easter Sunday as the sun rises (just before 6:30am), to celebrate the fact that the grave could not hold Jesus, and through Him we have victory over the grave.
We will have a breakfast following the sunrise service back in the church fellowship hall.
A fun time for kids. Come hunt for eggs, collect prizes, and older youth can join the “Hunt for Easter” scavenger hunt. Free and open to the public.
Come carry the cross on Good Friday, starting at noon at Sacred Heart Church and going to the chapel at the Sisters of the Resurrection Convent.

Working through Alan Wolfelt’s “Ten Essential Touchstones for Finding Hope & Healing Your Heart,” we will take the opportunity to share each other’s grief journeys and discover together new ways of integrating loss into a life of hope.
